Proverbs is for the King (v.1)

Wisdom is skilful living (v.2)

Wisdom receives correction (v.2b)

Wisdom needs insight (v.2c)

Wisdom serves others (v.3)

Wisdom pursues maturity (v.4-5)

Wisdom listens to others (v.5-6)

Wisdom is knowing your place in the world (v.7)

Wisdom is cultivated through reverent obedience.

Wisdom is only beautiful in Jesus.

What are your initial thoughts about the book of Proverbs? Do thoughts of pursuing wisdom bring joy or misery to mind? 

What specific areas of life do you desire to be wise? What ways do you need to grow in wisdom? What areas of life do you need to be more competent or skillful?

How can you seek instruction from others? Are there people in your life for whom you desire insight? What steps can you take to pursue the wisdom of others? 

What thoughts or feelings does the idea of the fear of the lord bring to you? How should Jesus inform or change those thoughts and feelings? How should this lead to a healthy way of obedience and wisdom in your life?

Are there clear commands you are foolishly refusing to obey? How is this affecting the direction of your life? What steps can you take to pursue reverent obedience?
